Thanks to those of you who have said you want to help. Sherry, John, Mary and Bill, you are awesome!

Just a quick photo/video update this time.

Today we went to meet with Grace at her store and come up with a plan. She’s the Filipina-Canadian who has already been helping a street kid go to school. After meeting with her, we decided that 4 of the 6 kids needed haircuts, so we took care of that and had lunch afterwords.

Nearly all the kids are changing schools, so that meant meeting with their previous school and asking them to dig through old records to find their certificates and cards. From there we went to one of the 3 schools and got 5 of them enrolled. One kid will be going to another nearby school and the two brothers will be going to school about 15 minutes away . Yes, we are now up to 8 kids who want to go to school. Who knows what tomorrow may bring. haha

Tomorrow, we will buy 2 white t-shirts, 2 khaki shorts, a pencil and a notebook for each kid. The first day of school the teacher will give them a list of what they need, so we will go and get those items that day. I have told them that if they can stay in school for 2 weeks without missing a day, I will buy them another pair of khaki shorts and 3 white button up shirts each.

Here are the pics:

This is 6 of the 8 kids before we went to get haircuts. Kenneth, in the white t-shirt, is the really bright kid and he is the most excited of all.

Romel, had no slippers (flip-flops), so we spent $1.50 and got him hooked up.

If you're a Filipino boy, it's okay to have dirty, shabby old clothes, 'cuz it's all about the hair.

They're very serious here, because they know they got it goin' on. I wish the pic was clearer, because for $1 each they got a really nice hair cut and are all looking like studs.

Here’s a video I took at the Principal’s office. (As many of you will recall, I’m no stranger to that place)
